Chocolate Trifle
Chocolate Trifle is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (19.8 oz.) pkg. fudge brownie mix, 4 tbsp. strong brewed coffee, 1 tsp. sugar, 3 (3.9 oz. each) pkg. instant chocolate pudding mix and 1 (12 oz.) container frozen whipped topping, thawed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Prepare brownie mix and bake according to package directions in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Prick top of warm brownies at 1-inch intervals using a fork.
Mix coffee and sugar together well. Drizzle brownies with the coffee and sugar.
Let cool and then crumble the brownies.
Prepare pudding mix according to package directions, omitting chilling.
Place 1/3 of crumbled brownies in bottom of a 3-quart trifle dish.
Top with 1/3 of pudding, whipped topping and crushed candy bars.
Repeat layers twice more with remaining ingredients, ending with crushed candy bars.
Chill 8 hours.
Yield
16 to 18 servings.
