Chocolate Squares
Chocolate Squares is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 50 caramels (14 oz.), 2/3 c. evaporated milk, 1 pkg. german chocolate cake mix, 1 c. chocolate chips and 3/4 c. melted margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Melt caramels in 1/3 cup evaporated milk and set aside.
Mix all other ingredients, except chocolate chips, together and press half the batter in greased 9 x 13-inch cake pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 6 minutes.
Take from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips. Then cover with caramel mixture.
Put remaining batter over caramel mixture by spoonfuls.
Bake for 18 minutes.
