Sift together the sugar and flour.
In a saucepan, bring to a boil the shortening, oleo, water and cocoa.
Pour over flour and sugar mixture while hot.
Add buttermilk, beaten eggs, soda and vanilla.
Bake in sheet pan in a 400Β° oven for 20 minutes.
While cake is baking, make icing.
