Sift flour, sugar and baking soda together.
Melt margarine, cocoa and water over low heat and bring to a boil.
Pour over dry ingredients.
Add buttermilk, eggs and vanilla and mix well.
Pour into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350Β° for 25 to 30 minutes.
Pour frosting on cake while warm.
