Chocolate Sauce
Chocolate Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 oz. unsweetened chocolate, 3 c. sugar, 1/2 c. butter, 1/4 tsp. salt and 1 3/4 c. evaporated milk (equals 1 can), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Melt butter and chocolate over very low heat.
Remove and gradually stir in the sugar.
Add salt.
Return to heat and stir in milk.
Cook 7 minutes, stirring constantly.
Do not let this boil.
Makes a quart or so and stores well in the fridge.
Reheat by placing jar in pan of hot water.
