Chocolate Rum Cake
Chocolate Rum Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. chocolate cake mix, 1 small pkg. vanilla pudding, 1 1/2 c. milk, 1/4 c. rum and 1 pt. heavy cream, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Bake cake according to directions in 2 (8-inch) cake layer pans.
When cool, cut both layers in half, using thread to make 4 layers.
Make pudding, using only 1 1/2 cups milk.
Remove from heat; let cool some.
Add 1/4 cup rum; let cool completely.
Whip the cream; add 1/2 cup to pudding.
Fold in.
Set rest of whipped cream aside.
Put pudding mixture between layers.
To the remaining whipped cream, add the confectioners sugar and 1 tablespoon rum.
Ice outside of cake.
