Chocolate Pound Cake
Chocolate Pound Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 c. butter or margarine, 1/2 c. butter flavored shortening, 3 c. sugar, 5 eggs and 1 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Beat butter and shortening until creamy.
Gradually add sugar until well blended.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Stir in melted chocolate.
Combine flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa.
Add to butter mixture alternately with milk.
Mix until blended.
Add pecans and flavorings.
Spoon batter into a greased and floured tube pan.
Bake at 325Β° for 1 hour and 35 minutes or until wooden pick comes out clean.
May need to shield with aluminum foil last 10 minutes.
