Chocolate Pound Cake
Chocolate Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 stick margarine, 1 c. crisco, 1 1/4 c. milk, 5 eggs and 3 c. plain flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Bring shortening, milk and eggs to room temperature.
Sift flour, sugar and cocoa into large bowl.
Add margarine, Crisco and milk.
Beat until smooth and creamy.
Add baking powder and salt. Beat.
Add vanilla and eggs, one at a time, beating until smooth and creamy.
Place in greased and wax paper lined tube pan.
Bake at 325Β° for one hour and 30 minutes.
Remove from pan and cool.
