Chocolate Pie
Chocolate Pie is an moderately easy dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 24 minutes. Made with eggs, separated, c. sugar, margarine, melted, blocks unsweetened chocolate, melted and large carnation milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Beat egg yolks and sugar until light and fluffy.
Melt margarine and chocolate together.
Add to egg mixture.
Add milk and vanilla.
(Must be added in this order.)
Pour into unbaked pie shell (deep dish).
Bake for 10 minutes at 400°.
Turn oven back to 350° and bake for 20 minutes.
Allow pie to be a little shaky because after it is baked with the meringue on it, it will be firm enough.
