Chocolate Pie
Chocolate Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. milk, scalded, 1 c. sugar, 1/3 c. flour, 2 tbsp. cocoa and 2 tbsp. margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Mix together sugar, flour and cocoa.
Mix with scalded milk in top of double boiler.
Cook until thickens.
Add beaten egg yolks. Cook for a few minutes longer until thick.
Remove from heat.
Add margarine and vanilla.
Pour into pie shell, that is already cooked.
Beat egg whites with 4 tablespoons of sugar and a little vanilla until stiff.
Put on top of pie and bake until lightly browned at 350Β°.
