Chocolate Nut Crunch
Chocolate Nut Crunch is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. finely crushed vanilla wafers, 1 c. finely crushed nut meats, 1 c. powdered sugar, 1/2 c. shortening and 3 well beaten egg yolks, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Line lightly greased pan with vanilla wafers and nuts.
Cream together the powdered sugar and shortening.
Add the well beaten egg yolks, chocolate and vanilla.
Add the stiffly beaten egg whites.
Spread mixture over crumbs with knife.
Sprinkle layer of crumbs and nuts on top.
Chill.
Serve with Cool Whip and cherries on top.
