Chocolate Nut Crunch
Chocolate Nut Crunch is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. vanilla wafer crumbs, 1/2 c. butter or margarine, 3 well-beaten egg yolks, 1/2 tsp. vanilla and 1 c. chopped walnuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Combine crumbs and nuts.
Line bottom of 9-inch square pan with half of the crumb mixture.
Thoroughly cream butter and sugar; add egg yolks.
Add chocolate and vanilla.
Mix well.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Spread over the crumb mixture.
Top with remaining crumb mixture, patting down.
Chill in refrigerator overnight.
Cut in squares.
Serves 9.
