In a 1-quart saucepan, sprinkle gelatin over 1/2 cup milk; let stand 1 minute. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until tiny bubbles form around edge and gelatin completely dissolves. Pour hot mixture into blender. Add chocolate chips. Cover and blend until chocolate melts. Add egg, ice, sugar, almond extract, 1/2 cup whipping cream and remaining 3/4 cup milk. Blend until smooth.

Pour into six 6 ounce parfait glasses. Chill in freezer 15 minutes. Whip remaining 1/2 cup whipping cream and spoon a dollop on each serving of mousse.
