Chocolate Macaroons
Chocolate Macaroons is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels, 1 c. shredded coconut, 1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts, 2 egg whites, at room temperature and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Melt chocolate morsels; cool.
Stir in coconut and walnuts.
In a small bowl, combine egg whites and salt.
Beat until soft peaks form.
Gradually add sugar; beat until stiff.
Fold egg whites into chocolate mixture.
Drop by teaspoon 1 inch apart onto brown paper-lined baking sheets.
Bake in a 325Β° oven for 18 to 20 minutes.
Yields about 50 cookies.
