Chocolate Layer Bars
Chocolate Layer Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. (12 oz.) chocolate chips, 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, 2/3 c. (5.3 oz. can) evaporated milk, 1 c. chopped walnuts and 1/2 tsp. almond extract, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Combine chocolate chips, cream cheese and evaporated milk in medium pan.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until chips are melted and mixture is smooth.
Remove from heat; stir in walnuts and 1/2 teaspoon almond extract.
Blend well and set aside.
