Chocolate Fudge Cake
Chocolate Fudge Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, 2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. shortening, 1 c. buttermilk and 1 1/2 tsp. soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Preheat oven to 350Β°. In a large bowl, combine cocoa and boiling water; mix well.
Add shortening, buttermilk, eggs and vanilla to cocoa mixture; mix well.
Mix flour, sugar, salt and soda together in bowl.
Combine dry ingredients to wet.
Bake in a 9 x 13 greased pan for 35 minutes or until done.
Let cool in pan, then put icing on cake in pan.
