Chocolate Date Nut Cake
Chocolate Date Nut Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. chopped dates (8 oz.), 2 tsp. soda, 2 c. boiling water, 1 stick oleo and 2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Mix first 3 ingredients and completely cool.
Cream oleo, sugar and eggs.
Sift together flour, cocoa and salt.
Add vanilla to date mixture and alternate date mixture and flour mixture into sugar.
In last portion of flour, add nuts.
Bake approximately 45 minutes at 350Β°.
