Chocolate Covered Banana Pops
Chocolate Covered Banana Pops is an easy dinner. Made with 3 ripe, large bananas, 9 wooden ice cream sticks or skewers, 2 c. (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips, 2 tbsp. shortening and 1-1/2 c. coarsely chopped unsalted roasted peanuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Peel bananas; cut each into thirds.
Insert wooden sticks; place on wax paper covered tray.
Cover and freeze until firm. Melt chocolate chips in double boiler with shortening.
Remove bananas from freezer just before dipping; dip each piece in chocolate.
Be sure to cover completely allowing excess to drip off.
Immediately roll in chopped peanuts.
Put them back on wax paper and cover; return to freezer.
Serve frozen.
Makes nine pops.
