Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cake
Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 3/4 c. boiling water, 1 c. quick quaker oats (do not use instant), 1 c. sugar, 1 c. lightly packed brown sugar and 1 stick soft margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. In a large mixing bowl pour boiling water over oats.
Let it stand for 10 minutes.
Stir in sugar, brown sugar and soft margarine.
Add eggs.
Sift together flour, baking soda, salt and cocoa; add.
Stir in half of the chocolate chips.
Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch cake pan.
Spread remaining chips and walnuts or pecans, coarsely chopped on top.
Bake in 350Β° oven for 40 minutes.
Cool before serving.
