Chocolate Chip Applesauce Cake
Chocolate Chip Applesauce Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. shortening, 2 eggs, 1 small jar (2 c.) applesauce and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Cream sugar, shortening and eggs.
Add applesauce, vanilla and a little cinnamon.
Stir together flour, salt, soda and cocoa. Add to other ingredients.
Sprinkle over top the chocolate chips, sugar and nuts.
Bake in greased 9 x 13 cake pan for 30 to 35 minutes at 350Β°.
