Chocolate Chews
Chocolate Chews is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. butter or oleo, 1/2 c. dark corn syrup, 6 tbsp. baking cocoa, 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract and 3 1/4 c. confectioners sugar, divided, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
Stir in corn syrup and cocoa and bring to a boil.
Remove from heat and add vanilla, 2 cups sugar and the powdered milk.
(Mixture will be stiff.)
Turn out onto a surface lightly dusted with confectioners sugar.
Knead in remaining sugar.
Knead 3 to 4 minutes until stiff.
Divide into 4 pieces and roll each into an 18-inch rope. Cut into 3/4-inch pieces.
Wrap and store in refrigerator.
Makes 8 dozen.
