Chocolate Chews
Chocolate Chews is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. margarine, 6 tbsp. cocoa, 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 3 1/4 c. powdered sugar and 1/2 c. dark syrup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

In saucepan, melt margarine over medium heat; stir in syrup and cocoa.
Bring to a boil.
Remove from heat.
Add vanilla, 2 cups powdered sugar and milk powder.
Mixture will be stiff.
Turn out onto surface dusted with confectioners sugar; knead 3 or 4 minutes or until stiff.
Divide into 4 pieces and roll into an 18-inch rope.
Cut into 3/4-inch pieces.
Wrap each in cellophane or waxed paper.
Store in refrigerator.
Makes 8 dozen.
