Chocolate Caramel Nut Bars
Chocolate Caramel Nut Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (14 oz.) bag caramels, 2/3 c. evaporated milk, 1 chocolate cake mix, 1/2 c. margarine, melted and 1 1/2 c. walnuts or pecans, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Melt caramels with 1/3 cup milk over low heat or in microwave, stirring until smooth.
Combine remaining milk, cake mix and margarine.
Mix well.
Press half of cake mixture into bottom of greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
Bake at 350° for 6 minutes.
Sprinkle 1 cup nuts and chocolate chips over crust; top with caramel mixture, spreading to edge of pan.
Top with spoonfuls of remaining cake mixture and press gently into caramel.
Sprinkle with remaining nuts.
Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
