Mix cocoa with hot water; set aside.
Blend flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder; set aside.
With electric mixer, beat Crisco, sugar, eggs and vanilla; add set-aside ingredients. Stir well.
Place batter in 9 x 13-inch cake pan and bake at 350Β° for 35 to 40 minutes.
