Combine sugar and flour in a large bowl.
Bring to a boil the water, oleo, shortening and cocoa; pour over flour mixture. Combine remaining ingredients, add to batter and blend well.
(Mix with a spoon.
Do not use mixer.)
Pour batter into a 13 x 9-inch greased and floured pan.
Bake at 400Β° for 22 minutes.
