Chip and Nut Bars
Chip And Nut Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. softened margarine, 1 3/4 c. packed light brown sugar, 2 eggs, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1 tbsp. instant coffee, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Cream margarine and sugar; beat in eggs.
Add vanilla and coffee.
Stir in flour, baking powder and salt.
Mix in 1/2 of nuts and chips.
Pour into 12 x 16 x 1/2-inch pan; pat mixture to edges of pan.
Sprinkle remaining nuts and chocolate pieces on top of mixture.
Bake at 350Β° for 25 minutes.
Yields 24 bars.
