Chinese Chews
Chinese Chews is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1 c. granulated sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla extract, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Mix all dry ingredients, then add nuts, dates, coconut and well beaten eggs.
Add vanilla.
Spread the mixture about 1/2-inch thick in a buttered pan.
Bake in a 350Β° oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
Remove pan from oven.
Cut in strips while still warm and roll in granulated sugar or roll in balls, then in sugar.
