Chili is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 lb. ground beef, 1 c. chopped leek or onion, 1/2 c. chopped green pepper, 2 cloves garlic, minced and 16 oz. tomatoes, cut up, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

In large saucepan, cook ground beef, onion, green pepper and garlic until meat is brown.
Drain fat.
Stir in tomato, beans, chili powder, basil and pepper.
Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover; simmer for 20 minutes.
