Chili
Chili is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 1/2 lb. hamburger (very lean), 1 medium onion, chopped, 1/2 green pepper, 1/8 tsp. garlic powder and 1 can kidney beans, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Brown hamburger.
Add onion and green pepper.
Add all other ingredients except 1/2 cup water and cornstarch.
Heat until boiling and simmer for 1/2 hour.
Combine remaining water and cornstarch.
Add to chili, a little at a time, stirring and cooking for 1 minute after each addition until you have reached the desired thickness.
Simmer up to 1/2 hour longer.
Freezes well.
