Chili
Chili is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 (no. 2) can chili beans, 1 chopped green pepper, 1 lb. stew meat, diced in 1/2-inch squares, 1 (no. 2 1/2) can tomatoes and 1/8 tsp. paprika, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Brown onion, garlic, green pepper, ground beef and stew meat in hog fat or bacon drippings.
Add chili powder, salt, paprika, cayenne pepper, cloves, bay leaf, cumin seed and tomatoes.
Simmer for 2 hours, adding water if necessary.
Add beans; heat through. Serves 6 to 8.
