Chiffon Layer Cake
Chiffon Layer Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 egg whites, 1/3 c. sugar, 2 c. flour, 1 c. sugar and 3 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Preheat oven to 350Β°.
In a small bowl, beat egg whites with 1/3 cup sugar until thick and glossy but not stiff.
Set aside. Combine flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder and salt in a mixing bowl.
Add milk, oil, vanilla and egg yolks.
Beat at medium speed for 3 minutes.
Scrape bowl frequently.
Fold or stir egg whites into batter until well blended.
Pour into 2 greased and floured 8-inch layer cake pans.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
Cool 10 to 20 minutes before removing from pans.
