Chicken Stew
Chicken Stew is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 to 3 lb. chicken, browned, 1/2 c. flour, 1 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. paprika and 1/4 tsp. pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Mix flour, salt, paprika and pepper; coat chicken and brown. Fill large kettle, a little over half, with water.
Add chicken. Add celery, onions, garlic, carrots and potatoes.
Cook for 2 hours or until chicken is done.
Take chicken out and debone.
Place chicken back in stew.
Add dumplings; this will make the stew thicken.
If too thick, just add a little water.
