Chicken in water with chopped celery, onion and a dash of poultry seasoning.
When cooked, remove bones, skin and fat. Add meat to broth. Add chicken soup base (dissolved in
4 to 5 cups warm water), rice, barley, potatoes, carrots, oregano, salt and pepper to taste.
Simmer until cooked.
