Chicken Orleans
Chicken Orleans is an impressive dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 30 minutes. Made with (2 to 3 lb.) fryer chicken, cut up, c. flour, . salt, . pepper and c. vegetable oil, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Roll chicken in seasoned flour (flour, 1 teaspoon salt and pepper).
Brown in vegetable oil in heavy frypan; remove.
Cook onion, garlic, celery and green pepper until they begin to brown, stirring occasionally.
Stir in tomatoes, rice, Worcestershire sauce, remaining salt and water.
Arrange browned chicken over the top.
Cover tightly.
Let simmer 20 to 30 minutes.
