Chicken Nachos is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, 1 tbsp. minced jalapeño (optional), 3 tbsp. chopped onion, 2 to 3 cloves pressed garlic and 1 1/2 to 2 tsp. chili powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. In medium bowl cream the cream cheese, jalapeños, onion, garlic and chili powder.

Fold in chicken and 1 1/2 cups of Jack cheese. Season with salt and pepper.

Spread mixture on insides of split pita bread.

Put on baking sheets.

Bake at 400° for 5 to 10 minutes, until very hot.

Cover with remaining cheese (Jack and Cheddar).

Continue baking until cheese is melted.

Cut each pita half into 3 wedges.

Serve with salsa (optional).

Makes about 72 wedges.
