Chicken Nachos
Chicken Nachos is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, 1 tbsp. minced jalapeño (optional), 3 tbsp. chopped onion, 2 to 3 cloves pressed garlic and 1 1/2 to 2 tsp. chili powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
In medium bowl cream the cream cheese, jalapeños, onion, garlic and chili powder.
Fold in chicken and 1 1/2 cups of Jack cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
Spread mixture on insides of split pita bread.
Put on baking sheets.
Bake at 400° for 5 to 10 minutes, until very hot.
Cover with remaining cheese (Jack and Cheddar).
Continue baking until cheese is melted.
Cut each pita half into 3 wedges.
Serve with salsa (optional).
Makes about 72 wedges.
