Chicken Dressing
Chicken Dressing is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 large chicken, boiled, 2 qt. corn bread crumbs, 3 c. cooked rice, 6 to 8 hard-boiled eggs and 1/2 c. chopped onion, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Saute chopped pepper, onion and celery in margarine.
Debone chicken (save broth) in a large roaster.
Pour chicken broth over the cornbread and rice until moist.
Let set for a few minutes so the cornbread can soak up the broth.
Add margarine.
Add more broth if it needs it.
Add deboned chicken, chopped eggs, sauteed vegetables and green onions.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Bake at 350Β° until it gets good and brown.
