Chicken Chop Suey
Chicken Chop Suey is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) chicken, 1 (1 lb.) can chop suey vegetables, 3 stalks celery, sliced thin, 3 or 4 tbsp. soy sauce and 1/2 tbsp. brown sauce or bread molasses, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Cook chicken until very tender with enough water to have a cup or more of stock.
Cut up chicken and place in pot after deboning. Add stock, celery, onions, soy sauce and 2 tablespoons oleo, if desired.
Add sugar.
Cook about 45 minutes or until onions and celery are tender.
Mix brown sauce or bread molasses with flour and water.
Add to chicken and mix well.
Drain vegetables and rice.
Add to mixture and cook 15 minutes longer.
Serve over rice.
