Chicken Cacciatore
Chicken Cacciatore is an impressive dinner. Made with 1/4 c. flour, 1 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. paprika, 1/2 tsp. pepper and 3 lb. chicken, cut up, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Mix flour, salt, paprika and pepper in a bag.
Shake 3 or 4 pieces of chicken in bag to coat.
Melt butter in large skillet; add chicken to brown.
Add onions, pepper and mushrooms; cook 5 minutes longer.
Add tomatoes, tomato paste, garlic, red pepper and oregano.
Cook, covered, until tender, about 30 minutes.
Add sherry wine; mix well and bring to boiling point.
Serve with spaghetti.
Yields 4 servings.
