1. In a large deep skillet brown chicken and the first
4 cloves of garlic in the olive oil, then remove chicken.
2. Add the last 2 cloves of garlic, peppers, mushrooms, celery, onion, oregano, sweet basil, parsley, salt, pepper, and red pepper (if desired), then brown.
3. Add the whole tomatoes, paste, and chicken. Bring to a vigorous simmer.
