Chicken Basque(Microwave) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 to 3 lb. frying chicken, cut up, 3/4 c. chopped onion, 1 clove garlic, crushed or 1/8 tsp. garlic powder, 1 1/3 c. (two 4 oz. cans) undrained mushrooms or 1 lb. fresh and 3 c. (1 lb. 12 oz. can) undrained tomatoes, broken up, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cut larger pieces of chicken in half for uniform size.
Combine all ingredients in 4-quart casserole.
Cook, covered, in microwave for 30 minutes or until done, stirring once.
If desired, thicken sauce with 1 tablespoon cornstarch.
