Chickaritos
Chickaritos is an impressive dinner. Made with 3 c. chopped cooked chicken, 4 oz. diced green chilies, 1/2 c. green onions, chopped, 1 1/2 c. sharp cheddar cheese and pastry sheets, thawed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
In bowl combine chicken, chilies, onions, cheese and seasonings.
Mix well, chill until ready to use.
Remove half of pastry from refrigerator at a time.
Roll, on floured surface (9 x 12-inch) rectangle; cut into 9 small rectangles.
Place 2 tablespoons of filling across center of each.
Wet edges and roll pastry around filling.
Crimp edges with fork.
Place, seam side down, on lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 425Β° for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
Serve with salsa and guacamole. Makes 18.
