Chess Pie
Chess Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1 c. + 1 tsp. brown sugar, 1/4 c. flour, 1/2 tsp. salt and 4 eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
👨🍳 Instructions
Heat 1 cup sugar, brown sugar, milk, flour and butter until dissolved; let cool.
Beat 1 whole egg, 3 egg yolks and vanilla. Add to cooled vanilla.
Pour into unbaked pie crust.
Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
Turn oven down to 250° until firm on edge (10 minutes).
Beat whites, 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla for meringue.
Top and brown.
