Cherry Pecan Bread
Cherry Pecan Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 oz. jar maraschino cherries, 1 c. sugar, 1 egg, 1/4 c. cherry juice and 2 tbsp. melted oleo, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Pour off cherry juice and reserve.
Quarter cherries.
Stir in sugar and butter.
Pour in orange, cherry juice and water.
Mix well.
Sift dry ingredients and add a small amount at a time to your mixture.
Add chopped nuts.
Pour into a greased loaf pan. Bake at 350Β° for 1 to 1 1/4 hours.
Glaze with powdered sugar, milk mixture.
Decorate with chopped cherries and pecans.
