Cherry Jewels
Cherry Jewels is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. (1 stick) butter, 1/4 c. sugar, 1 egg yolk, 1 tsp. grated lemon rind and 1 tbsp. lemon juice, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Cream together butter and sugar; beat until light and fluffy. Add egg yolk, lemon rind, lemon juice, orange juice and vanilla. Beat well.
Gradually blend in flour; chill.
Roll dough into 1-inch diameter balls; roll in nuts and place on buttered baking sheet.
Press cherry half in center.
Bake in preheated 350Β° oven 10 to 12 minutes.
Remove to wire rack to cool.
Yield
3 dozen.
