Cherry Dessert
Cherry Dessert is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. margarine or butter, 1 tsp. vanilla, 2 c. sifted cake flour, 1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling and 1 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Cream together margarine and sugar.
Add vanilla.
Stir in 2 eggs one at a time.
Mix in flour.
Stir in nuts.
Spread 3/4 mixture into 13 x 9-inch ungreased Pyrex pan.
Cover with pie filling.
Take remaining batter and drop by spoonfuls.
Spread as well as possible.
Bake for 45 minutes or until light brown. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
