Combine the flour and rolled oats.
Cut in the margarine until the mixture is crumbly; mix in 1/3 cup sugar.
Set aside for topping.
Drain cherries reserving the juice.
Combine the remaining sugar with the cornstarch, spices and lemon juice, slowly blending in cherry juice.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the sauce is thick and clear.
Add the cherries. Pour into a greased 8-inch square baking pan.
Sprinkle with the topping.
Bake at 375Β° for 30 minutes.
