Cherry Cookies
Cherry Cookies is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 tsp. baking powder, 3/4 c. margarine or butter and 1 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Stir together flour, salt and baking powder; set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, beat margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs; beat well.
Stir in milk and vanilla.
Add flour mixture.
Thoroughly combine.
Stir in nuts, dates and 1/3 cup of cherries.
Portion dough using level measuring tablespoonful.
Roll in crushed corn flakes cereal.
Place about 2 inches apart on greased baking sheet.
Top each cookie with a cherry quarter.
Bake at 375Β° for about 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
Remove immediately and cool on wire racks. Makes 5 dozen.
Two cookies contain 170 calories.
