Cherry-Coconut Bars
Cherry-Coconut Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. flour, 1/4 c. sugar, 1/2 c. butter, 1/4 c. flour and 1/2 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Sift together flour and 1/4 cup sugar.
Cut in butter.
Press this mixture into bottom of ungreased pan, 9 x 9-inch or 7 x 11-inch.
Bake at 350° for 10 to 15 minutes.
Then sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
Add 3/4 cup sugar.
Fold in eggs, lightly beaten, and add cherries and coconut and nutmeats.
Spread this mixture over the bottom layer and bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.
