Cherry Cake
A simple buttermilk yellow cake hiding pockets of cherry pie filling beneath its tender crumb. Old-fashioned and unfussy, the kind grandma made on Sundays.
π¨βπ³ Instructions
Mix Crisco, sugar, eggs, vanilla, milk and vinegar.
Add flour, baking powder and salt.
Mix well.
Pour into 8 x 12-inch greased and lightly floured pan.
Dot top of cake mix with cherry pie filling before baking.
Bake at 350Β° for 35 minutes.
Makes 16 servings.
