Cherry Banana Pie
Cherry Banana Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (16 oz.) can pitted red tart cherries, 1 c. sugar, 3 tbsp. cornstarch, 1 tbsp. butter and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Bake pie shell.
In saucepan, mix cherries, with liquid, sugar and cornstarch.
Cook and stir constantly until mixture thickens and boils.
Boil and stir 1 minute.
Stir in butter.
Cool and stir in cinnamon and almond extract.
Slice bananas in layers into baked pie shell.
Pour filling over banana slices.
Chill until set.
